Topic: A Necessary Leadership Paradigm Shift

A massive generational shift in the workforce is underway. Specifically, it is projected that by 2025 75% of our workforce will be comprised of Millennials and Gen Z.  Our workforce is also becoming much more diverse and the local market forecast shows all Twin Cities workforce growth coming from Black, Latino, and Asian populations through 2050.  With substantial demographic shifts employee expectations change. Values evolve. Priorities are re-ordered. Innovation and adaptation are necessary to compete for talent and for operational continuity.

We will discuss the demographic shifts underway, the added impact of the Pandemic, and the need we are seeing for a major paradigm shift in Leadership in order to remain a viable, competitive and thriving organization. 

• Evolution in communication cadence, transparency, and technology
• Emergence of vulnerability as a Leadership strength
• The expectation of transparency and equity in compensation and career-pathing
• Importance of a corporate position and voice on important social and community topics and a corporate brand that is reflected in the organizational culture
• Change Management, Resilience, Crisis Management and Empathy as Leadership table stakes
