Benefits

Education: Monthly meetings and focused seminars on special topics offer you the opportunity to learn from business partners and experts in the legal field as well as from your peers. ALAMN also provides member scholarships to regional and national conferences.

Educational Conference: The purpose of the annual ALAMN Educational Conference is to provide educational opportunities to ALAMN members and the legal community.

Professional Resources: Members of ALAMN are generous with their time and advice. You can benefit from their knowledge in special areas, and share your own expertise with others. Membership in committees and special interest groups lets you focus on your specific information needs.

Industry Trend Watching: Through local, regional and national networking, you can learn about trends in the industry, helping you prepare for change and adapt to technological and managerial advances within the legal profession. ALA is an invaluable resource in this area too!

Member Newsletter: The Verdict is published monthly and provides members with up‐to‐date information on Board and Chapter meetings, member activities, job openings and general educational topics.

Annual Salary and Benefits Survey: Each year, ALAMN administers an annual survey to collect data on salaries and benefits paid to employees in private law firms, corporate law departments, and governmental legal departments in Minnesota. This data is tabulated by an independent third party and circulated to members who participate at a reduced cost and to other members for a fee. The survey assists members in administering salaries and benefits within their organizations.

Member Directory: One of the greatest benefits of membership in ALAMN is access to a large group of experienced professionals. ALAMN members gain this access through its membership directory, published annually.

Member Placement Service: Many open positions for legal administrators never make it to the classified section. That’s because ALAMN offers confidential placement assistance exclusively for ALAMN members. Unemployed members, members interested in changing jobs, members seeking to hire additional administrators, and non‐member firms can use the service to match positions with candidates.
