Educational Experiences & Resources

ALAMN Chapter Conference & Exposition: For 26 years running, the chapter has held an annual conference featuring a full day of education, Business Partner interaction, and other networking opportunities.

Community & Peer Resources

ALAMN Special Interest Groups (SIGs): The chapter facilitates multiple educational forums specific to functional specialties such as Facilities, Intellectual Property, or Systems & Technology. These forums usually meet monthly. For a full roster of SIGs, Click Here.

ALAMN Volunteer Opportunities: Aside from regular community service opportunities, the chapter encourages members to join any of a variety of service committees to help support the association and its members. Click Here

ALA Online Communities: These groups are a quick and easy way to “talk” to colleagues about management issues you may be experiencing—and they’re only available to regular ALA members. ALA Career Center: The definitive career resource which serves job seekers and employers in the legal industry. Employers advertise openings or search for qualified candidates; job seekers view current job listings or post resumes.  ALAMN also lists available positions – search for a position or post one.

ALAMN Job Banks: The chapter hosts two job banks, one focused on management positions that qualify for ALA or ALAMN membership and the other for staff. Firms or legal departments that have or had within the past six-months a member of ALAMN or ALA can post jobs on the ALAMN job bank at no cost. Click Here

ALAMN Salary Survey: Ever year, the chapter administers a survey to collect data on salaries paid to employees in private law firms, corporate law departments, and governmental legal departments in Minnesota. This data is tabulated by an independent third party and circulated to members who participate at a reduced cost and to other members for a fee.
